February, a list:
Yearning for warmer days again.
Birthdays and gift giving.
Valentine’s Brunch.
Staying in, making tea. Too many matcha lattes.
Reading on public transport, watching Melo-Movie on the treadmill at the gym.
More film nights…
Playing Infinity Nikki as self-care measures.
Appointments and viewings, emails and calls, this month flew by task by task.
Getting better mentally after hitting a few Wake-up calls.
Feeling too much, crashing out, being overwhelmed — but carrying so much gratitude.
From the writing desk:
I kept writing a new book a secret from even my closest friends just to drop the news out of the blue. Dropping the news was so much fun! I feel so grateful that people have commented and DM’ed me their excitement without knowing yet what it’s going to be about. My mystery novel Foe comes out this year. Stay tuned for the blurb and more info when it’s time :-)
Writing this mystery novel, naturally I ended up making a playlist. I’m listening to it as I edit and revise.
I also rearranged my reading list to match the book. Make of it what you will…
Penance by Eliza Clark (re-reading)
She’s Always Hungry by Eliza Clark
Jane: A Murder by Maggie Nelson (re-reading)
Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng (re-reading)
Brutes by Dizz Tate
Private Rites by Julia Armfield
